The Blue Mountains

A fantastic view from the Blue Mountains in Katoomba. On Sept 27th 2007 I decided to drive from Sydney to the Blue Mountains with Frank and Pete. The Blue Mountains is ranked highly on the top 10 things to do when in Sydney so we couldn't miss out on it. It took us an hour and half driving to reach our destination from the Sydney City with one or two stops for fuel and munchies in between, on our way I noticed that driving to the blue mountains there was no massive incline to the Mountains, just a steady hill and nothing was obvious to see just a motorway with really no scenic view of anything! until we took a slip road off at Katoomba for Scenic World and gasped at the stunning views. Valleys upon valleys, it seemed to be endless and no sign of cities, houses or any type of man conquered land. The silence was strange and eerie the screeches of the birds and wildlife seemed to echo all around the vast forests and mountains.

We visited the 3 Sisters (Mountain Landmark) and done the The Scenic Railway is the steepest railway incline in the World through the hidden valley we also went on the recently unveiled Skyway with its world first Electro-Sceni Glass Floor. We stroll along the Walkway through towering Jurassic rainforest, then finally glided out of the valley aboard the Cableway, taking in the breathtaking panorama of the stunning World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains National Park.
